Job Overview:

The Market & Financial Risk Reporting circle within COOR/Global Risk Services is looking for a risk reporting specialist, who provides insight in market and credit risk portfolio's, performs analysis on risk migrations and participates in projects with the purpose to align on finance and risk data used for statutory or regulatory reporting.

The Market & Financial Risk reporting specialist knows how to convert risk (Vortex) data into

valuable reports, is an expert in performing quantitative analysis on big data and build constructive relationships with internal Finance, COOF and Risk Management stakeholders.

The successful candidate has strong time management skills, performs well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and has a proven track record in managing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role you will have the opportunity to support a variety of critical risk deliverables to internal and external stakeholders on daily, monthly and quarterly intervals.

• Prepare high quality and accurate market & financial risk reports for mainly internal stakeholders;
• Monitor, analyse, align and report on important concentrations and trends in the credit risk portfolio of ING Bank;
• Provide input for and participate in finance and risk (senior)stakeholder meetings;
• Perform technical analysis on credit risk data used in statutory or regulatory reporting;
• Identify and execute process improvements for reporting and keep individual report manuals up-to-date;
• Strengthen the governance and control environment on reporting process in line with internal and external control requirements;
• Contribute to the digitization/automation of reporting processes

You will need to have affinity with data and risk reporting and be familiar with the generic concept of financial risk management.

Key Capabilities/Experience:

• Education on Bachelor or Master level.
• At least 7 years of experience in a data/analytics oriented function;
• Proficient in Excel, VBA and SQL;
• have experience with usage of SAS EG or ability to quickly acquire such skills
• able to quickly get up to speed with (internal) applications used (Vortex)
• Analytical with a high attention to detail;
• Proven affinity with financial markets and products;
• Critical mind-set with respect to what is delivered;
• Strong team player with hands on mentality;

• Monitor & report substantial shareholdings
• Special disclosures 13H & 13F
• Advise on regulations to business
• Monitor changes in regulations and access impact for ING
• Provide answers on information request (internal /external), if required
• Reply on enquiries from regulators
• Proactively inform regulator if notification is wrong and/or late
• Update M&RTC procedure
• Maintain internal process descriptions
• Check data quality

Minimum Qualifications:

• Follow workplace instructions and still able to challenge the process
• Easily adapt to changing procedures
• Complete request accurately and timely in adherence to defined KPIs
• Use MS Office applications and reporting tools – Excel, VBA, SAS, PowerBI
• Has relevant work experience but requires formal training in theories/concepts/basic processes of the function.
• Responsible for the day-to-day processing requirements of the function
• Perform various structured routine operational tasks in a standard work environment.
• Handle medium complex processes.
• Develop knowledge of the internal market and integrates this knowledge into day-to-day activity
• Works under minimal supervision
• Perform other assignments as delegated by a senior or Circle Lead

• Adhere to bank policies and other compliance requirements
• Legal background to understand regulations from +100 countries and act on them (academic level)
• Understand Financial Markets, Equity & Sovereign debt products and systems
