HR Recruitment and Onboarding Officer

Job Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Execute end-to-end recruitment for technical, engineering, and administrative roles.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to define job requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
- Source candidates through JobStreet, social media, manpower agencies, job fairs, and local community hiring programs.
- Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and schedule employer interviews and skills assessments.
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking database.
Onboarding & Orientation
- Facilitate pre-employment processing, including document completion, medical exams, and background checks.
- Prepare onboarding materials, employee ID creation, PPE issuance, and access requirements for the shipyard.
- Conduct new hire orientations on company policies, safety protocols, and workplace standards.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
HR Support
- Maintain accurate and organized employee files and recruitment records.
- Assist in HR projects such as employer branding, job fairs, and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company standards, and health & safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business, or related field.
- At least 1–3 years experience in recruitment and onboarding; experience in industrial, construction, or shipyard settings is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple hiring requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office and HR systems; familiarity with JobStreet or other recruitment platforms is a plus.
