The Client

A manufacturer of electrical calibration equipment and calibration software for calibration laboratories. We also operate a 17025 Accredited Calibration laboratory

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain legacy software (Visual Basic 6 as an asset, not required).
  • Develop new features and applications using Visual Basic .NET and C#/.NET (WPF).
  • Manage and optimize databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Debug and resolve software issues across desktop and web components.
  • Provide technical triage and respond to customer support tickets.
  • Handle customer technical support queries via Freshdesk and remote sessions using TeamViewer.
  • Collaborate with the lead developer on new software architecture and modernization initiatives.
  • Assist in transitioning legacy components to modern .NET and WPF-based systems.

Technical Requirements

Critical Requirement

  • Strong experience in desktop development, especially WPF for Windows-based applications.
  • Familiarity with modern WPF practices and the latest .NET versions is highly desirable for upcoming projects.

Core Tech Stack (Must-Haves):

  • WPF (Windows-based UI framework)
  • C#
  • SQL Server
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • UI/UX understanding and ability to work on front-end components

Nice to Have:

  • Visual Basic 6 (VB6) experience is a plus, not mandatory, but helpful for legacy maintenance.
  • Experience working with legacy codebases and modernization projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of experience in software development (Junior to Mid-Level).
  • Understanding of software support workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Work Arrangement

  • Home-based ; Equipment is provided.
  • Should have strong internet connection (minimum of 20 mbps)

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM Manila Time
