This Facility Staff is an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic

appeal of our premises through effective housekeeping and gardening practices. Reporting to

the Facilities Manager, this position plays a key role in the upkeep and presentation of our

facilities, creating a welcoming and visually pleasing environment for our residents, visitors, and

staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Sanitize restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other facilities to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Properly dispose of waste and recyclables according to established procedures.
  • Manage an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting maintenance or supply needs.
  • Care for outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, and landscaped spaces.
  • Engage in planting, watering, weeding, trimming, and mowing to preserve the appearance and health of lawns.
  • Prune trees, bushes, and shrubs to maintain a neat and tidy landscape.
  • Monitor and report issues such as plant diseases, pest infestations, or irrigation problems.
  • Safely and efficiently use gardening tools and equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or gardening preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment for effective housekeeping.
  • Basic understanding of gardening practices, plant care, and landscaping.
  • Physical stamina for tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively to efficiently complete tasks.
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
