As a
Fund Manager
, you will contribute directly and indirectly to the growing Assets Under Management (AUM), Revenues, and Net Income After Tax for the Bank's Trust Business by generating targeted returns for the Unit Investment Trust Funds (UITFs) and Investment Management Account (IMA) to the accounts assigned. These goals need to be attained while operating within prescribed investment guidelines and compliance policies and taking reasonable and calculated risks.
How you'll contribute
- Acts as a reliever of the Fixed Income Department Head and other Fund Managers when on leave so as not to hamper the Department's operations.
- Co-develops investment strategies and direction with the Team and the FI Head. Continuously analyzes and keeps updated with global and domestic markets. Keeps risk in check to avoid unnecessary and unexpected losses.
- Participates in the preparation of Client presentations and Market Updates. Contributes and participates in the preparation of periodic commentaries market updates and performance reviews.
- Determines and analyzes risk items and market movements and directions on a macro level.
- Ensures that regulatory limits, investment guidelines, and compliance policies for all funds. All portfolios should strictly adhere to the guidelines and policies. Applies an understanding of the regulatory, quality control, and risk management framework.
- Oversees the daily and medium-term trading activity for select Fixed Income Portfolios. Manages assigned funds according to the investment mandates. Strives to earn at least benchmark returns net of fees.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mathematics/Statistics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Economics, or Finance/Accountancy/Banking
- Preferably with 3-4 years of experience
- Knowledge in basic Economics and Financial Markets and Fixed Income
- With good analytical, financial, and communication skills
- Has the ability to make sound judgments and investment decisions and works well in a team environment
