Position Purpose:

The Crew Trainer is responsible for providing hands-on, practical training to new hires and existing team members, ensuring they acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining Dunkin' Donuts' high standards for product quality, customer service, and operational excellence.

As a mentor and role model, the Crew Trainer guides employees through the onboarding process and ongoing training initiatives, ensuring they embody the company's values while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Training Delivery:
  • Conduct on-the-job training sessions for new crew members, focusing on food preparation, service procedures, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide practical demonstrations and step-by-step guidance on tasks, including using equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and meeting quality standards.
  • Teach employees proper customer interaction techniques, including handling orders, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Employee Mentorship:
  • Act as a mentor to trainees, creating a supportive and positive learning environment.
  • Monitor the progress of trainees and provide personalized coaching to address areas needing improvement.
  • Offer constructive feedback and encouragement to help employees build confidence and competence.
  • Performance Evaluation:
  • Assess trainees' performance through observations and practical evaluations.
  • Document progress reports and communicate findings to the Training and Development Officer.
  • Recommend additional training or support for employees who require further development.
  • Quality and Standards Compliance:
  • Ensure all employees are trained to meet Dunkin' Donuts' quality standards for products and services.
  • Reinforce adherence to company policies, including hygiene, safety, and operational protocols.
  • Serve as an example by consistently demonstrating excellence in daily tasks.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Training and Development Officer and Training Assistant to align training programs with departmental objectives.
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of training materials and suggest improvements based on trainee performance.
  • Assist in the development of training aids, such as checklists, guides, and visual materials.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a crew member role at Dunkin' Donuts or a similar food service environment.
  • Previous experience in a training or mentoring capacity is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coach and motivate team members effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of Dunkin' Donuts' operational procedures, products, and quality standards.
  • Problem-solving skills to address trainee challenges and ensure smooth operations.
  • Organizational skills for maintaining training schedules and records.
  • Patience and adaptability to work with employees of varying skill levels.

Job Type: Full-time
