Purpose of the position:
Our Australian partner is a well‑established integrated facility services provider that is looking for a Financial Controller. They offer a comprehensive suite of solutions for both residential and commercial clients. The company specialises in integrated property services including security systems and monitoring, building and shopfitting works, comprehensive property maintenance, communications and electrical services, landscaping, metal fabrication and cleaning services.
You will manage and direct the financial functions of the company in accordance with standard accounting principles, to ensure statutory timelines are met; including administrative, financial and risk management operations, and the ongoing development of control systems, designed to preserve company assets. You will be in charge of the AP and AR team as well as the other accounting functions of the business, including management reporting.
The successful candidate must have worked with and understand the Australian taxation system and have worked with and understands the ATO, as well as have experience running a team. This is a senior role and the candidate is expected to work with and advise the Managing Director on accounting insights, provide recommendations based on financial data, and prepare budgets. You must have at least 3 years of experience working with MYOB.
Duties & responsibilities
- Process contract job invoicing and supplier invoicing.
- Assist with the preparation of department budgets in accordance with company financial projections.
- Manage CAPEX and budgeting processes.
- Oversee and approve expenditure – construct and monitor reliable control systems to ensure expenditure is within cost restraints.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management Supervise end of month procedure for accounts payable / receivable.
- Responsible for bank reconciliations and BAS statements.
- Preparation of end of year financials for accountants.
- Payroll & payroll tax.
- Meet all ATO (Australian Taxation Office) and tax requirements within required time lines.
- Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
- Direct employee training to improve efficiencies and ensure compliance to standard procedures and practices.
- Oversee and manage the accounts department in its entirety – includes all accounting functions.
- Other accounting functions related to the successful and smooth operation of the business.

Essential experience and qualifications
- At least three years of working with MYOB.
- Strong ability to organise effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly.
- Leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts.
- Excellent English speaking.
- A minimum of three years working with Australian taxation.
Key performance indicators
To be developed jointly in line with the business goals & objectives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php85, Php90,000.00 per month
