Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and information technology
  • 1-2 years' experience working in Data warehouse and ETL/ELT testing
  • Cloud experience – Azure based analytics/reporting pipeline
  • Hands On with advanced SQL on Data Warehouse, Big Data and Data Bricks
  • Experience in data profiling, source-target mappings, ETL testing, SQL optimisation and data validation techniques
  • Experience in various testing like - Functional, Manual, Automation, Regression, Integration and User Acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Knowledgeable in Big Data tools and components of Hadoop like Hive, Impala, Sqoop, MapReduce, Hue and storage (e.g. HDFS, HBase)
  • Knowledgeable in CICD tools and processes – BitBucket/GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus etc.
  • Experience in Reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI
  • Hands on experience in using JIRA, Confluence, HLM
  • Experience with any scripting languages, preferably Python.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, both quickly and accurately, whilst making own decisions
  • Excellent at verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Effective prioritization
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to haves:

  • At least one year of experience in testing solutions with Microsoft Azure and Databricks
  • Experience in working on Agile projects
  • Experience with an ETL tool, like Informatica, DataStage, etc.
  • Knowledge in building test plans and test strategies for big data solutions
  • Good Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Azure tools such as ADLS, ADF, Azure DevOps, Dremio, Parquet Viewer etc.
