Role Description
UST is seeking a Sr. Tester / QA with extensive expertise in Scrum methodology, client engagement, and comprehensive testing practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both domain and technical experts within the team.

  • Proactively engage clients to clarify complex or ambiguous requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Participate actively in client meetings, demonstrations, refinement sessions, and walkthroughs
  • Decompose requirements into testable scenarios aligned with user stories
  • Conduct manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Communicate test scenarios, risk assessments, and findings to team members and clients.
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify hidden issues and edge cases
  • Develop and execute test cases, checklists, and test data
  • Validate fixes and changes throughout development cycles
  • Monitor test progress, defects, and adherence to established QA processes
  • Identify gaps in quality and promote continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinements, demonstrations, and retrospectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance and testing of web applications
  • Strong proficiency in Scrum/Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in business and technical requirements analysis, verification, and software development
  • In-depth understanding of application development and the software development life cycle
