We are looking for a skilled and passionate Android Developer to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for professionals with 2–5 years or more of experience in Android development, specializing in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with hands-on experience in maps integration (e.g., Google Maps). As part of our fully remote team, you will play a key role in building high-quality Android applications while collaborating closely with colleagues across different functions. Key Responsibilities

Android Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Implement and optimize maps integration features (e.g., Google Maps, map-based UI components, geolocation services).
  • Build scalable, efficient, and user-friendly apps across a wide range of devices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

Debugging & Optimization

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues quickly.
  • Continuously improve performance, stability, and user experience.

Collaboration & Version Control

  • Use Git for version control and collaborative workflows.
  • Work effectively with developers, designers, and product managers to deliver quality solutions.
  • Communicate clearly in English during discussions, reviews, and documentation.

Agility & Adaptability

  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adapt to evolving requirements and deliver within tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Core Skills

  • 2–5 years or more of hands-on experience in Android development.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android Jetpack Compose.
  • Practical experience with maps integration (e.g., Google Maps API, geolocation, route mapping, custom markers).
  • Solid understanding of OOP principles and mobile app best practices.
  • Experience with Android Studio, APIs, and Git workflows.
  • Good English communication skills (spoken and written).

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Retrofit, Dagger/Hilt, Firebase, or similar libraries.
  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles for mobile apps.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Jira, Trello, etc.).

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
  • Responsible, resourceful, and proactive.
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Team player who thrives in a remote environment.

Work Setup & Schedule

  • Position Type: Permanent, Full-time

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Philippine Time)
  • Days Off: Saturday & Sunday
  • Note: Screen monitoring will be implemented during work hours.
