Overview:

As a kitchen steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area of the cafe. You will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas are kept clean and sanitary, adhering to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dishwashing: Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils by hand or using dishwashing equipment. Ensure that all items are cleaned thoroughly and sanitized properly.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Keep the kitchen area clean and organized at all times. Sweep and mop floors, wipe down countertops, and sanitize surfaces regularly.
  • Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of kitchen waste and garbage in designated bins or dumpsters. Maintain cleanliness in trash storage areas.
  • Stock Management: Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies, including food ingredients, utensils, and cleaning materials. Monitor inventory levels and inform the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Assistance to Kitchen Staff: Support kitchen staff as needed, including helping with food preparation, setting up stations, and retrieving ingredients or equipment.
  • Compliance: Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Follow proper procedures for handling and storing food to prevent contamination.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Communicate effectively with chefs, cooks, and servers to fulfill orders and maintain efficiency.
  • Cleaning Duties: Perform general cleaning tasks in the kitchen area, such as cleaning appliances, sanitizing surfaces, and emptying grease traps.

Additional benefit: Monthly service charge (ranges from P7,000 to P10,000)
