Job Title: Parts Purchaser / Purchasing Officer

Job Summary:

Responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and monitoring automotive/industrial parts, supplies, and materials to support operations. Ensures timely procurement, cost efficiency, and quality compliance of all purchased items while maintaining good supplier relations and inventory accuracy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices, terms, and quality for parts and materials.
  • Review purchase requests and ensure accuracy of specifications, part numbers, and quantities.
  • Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely availability of parts.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse, Service, and Operations teams for accurate parts requirements.
  • Maintain updated records of suppliers, pricing, and lead times.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, budget limits, and procurement procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze purchasing reports (cost analysis, savings, and supplier performance).
  • Handle discrepancies in deliveries, invoices, and quality of purchased items.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for long-term partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Automotive Technology, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (automotive/industrial parts background is an advantage).
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of automotive/industrial parts and suppliers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Cost-conscious and proactive in finding alternatives.
