Job Summary:

The Kitchen Cook member in a restaurant or food store is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and assisting with inventory and food storage. This role involves supporting other kitchen team members to ensure timely and high-quality food service. Kitchen Cook must adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, contribute to efficient kitchen operations, and assist in creating a positive dining experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare ingredients, cook, and assemble dishes according to recipes and customer orders, maintaining portion control and presentation standards.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, cooking stations, and utensils; follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients; monitor stock levels and report shortages to supervisors.
  • Kitchen Support: Support other kitchen staff during busy hours, maintain an organized workspace, and perform prep tasks as needed (e.g., chopping, slicing, marinating).
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of kitchen waste and adhere to recycling practices as required by company policy and local regulations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow company policies, health and safety regulations, and work to prevent food contamination and kitchen hazards.

Work Environment:

This role involves standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced and potentially hot kitchen environment, and may require flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential

· Ensures completeness and availability raw materials

· Ensures proper preparation of food items

· Ensures all raw and cook ingredients are prepared according to standards

· Monitors quality, expiry & proper labeling of all products (FIFO)

· Coordinates w/ Cashier / Order

· Provides assistance to co-kitchen crew

· Ensure general cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen section including facility and equipment

· Ensures that all food served are of the highest quality

· Food safety standards for receiving of raw materials up to serving of the finished products are observed

· Ensures all monitoring procedures such as the wastage/spoilage report, labeling and FIFO system are observed

· Ensures that kitchen equipment's are properly handled and maintained

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php20,500.00 per month
