The IT Administrator is responsible for maintaining the overall health, performance, and security of the organization's information technology systems. This includes managing and administering hardware, software, and network infrastructure; troubleshooting and resolving technical issues; coordinating with external service providers; and ensuring end-users receive effective technical support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain the organization's IT systems, including servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related peripherals.
  • Administer, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems).
  • Oversee software installation, updates, and license management; ensure compatibility and optimal performance of applications used by the organization.
  • Coordinate with third-party service providers and vendors for system upgrades, integrations, and technical support related to systems used by the company.
  • Implement and maintain IT security measures, including antivirus protection, firewalls, data backups, and access control protocols.
  • Conduct routine system and network performance checks to ensure reliability, availability, and compliance with company standards.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues and training staff on IT best practices.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, documentation, and network diagrams.
  • Assist in evaluating, testing, and deploying new software solutions, including attending and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance IT and network operations.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Company to meet its operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an IT Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network administration (LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and security protocols).
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting software applications, systems integration, and vendor coordination.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud platforms is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.
