Maintenance Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians in executing repairs and maintenance tasks for store facilities and equipment, with a focus on refrigeration systems. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting equipment inspections, and coordinating with third-party contractors. The supervisor will also support training initiatives for technicians, monitor inventory levels of spare parts, and respond to service requests promptly. Strong leadership, troubleshooting expertise, and effective communication skills are critical to ensuring smooth maintenance operations.
SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Execution of Maintenance Works
a. Respond to service requests and work orders of stores and immediate superiors in a timely and professional manner. Provide recommendations for improving the efficiency and performance of equipment.
b. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with refrigeration and cooling systems. Test and ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
c. Perform in-depth maintenance assessment on all store facilities and equipment.
d. Implement and monitor the proper and timely execution of preventive and corrective action for all store facilities and equipment.
e. Performs other relevant tasks as required by immediate superior.
II. Coordination with store operation management and other 3rd party teams
a. Communicate clearly with store managers/staff regarding the status of daily repairs, maintenance updates, and any required follow-up actions.
b. Coordinates with contractors on activities to be executed in the stores as well as oversees work completed.
c. Conducts feedback survey with store operations team regarding timeliness, workmanship, and attitude of technicians and contractors.
III. Team Management, Safety, and Training
a. Directly manages a team of technicians for repairs and maintenance work. Also serves as reliever for technicians during their rest days, vacation, and sick leaves.
b. Conducts basic refresher training and demonstrations to keep all maintenance technicians aligned with the standard operating procedures when conducting maintenance work.
c. Assist the maintenance engineer in conducting store facilities and equipment audit inspections.
d. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines when working with refrigerants and electrical systems. Ensure that all work complies with local codes and industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor's degree in engineering or any related field from a reputable institution
o Minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance or engineering supervisory role, ideally within the food service and restaurant industry.
o Strong technical and applied knowledge of store facilities and equipment -including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair with a focus on refrigeration
o Well-versed in machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and other machinery/equipment activities.
o Working knowledge of relevant building codes, health, safety, and environmental regulations
o Knowledgeable in MEPFS is a plus factor.
o Willing to travel to various Amici and Caramia store locations.
o Must be willing to work in a shifting schedule and long hours and report to work as required under emergency conditions.
