The Project In-Charge is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising project execution to ensure timely completion, quality compliance, and cost control. The role involves managing site operations, guiding project teams, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities1.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Execute project activities as per approved plans, drawings, and timelines.
  • Monitor daily work progress and ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

2. Site Management

  • Oversee site operations, manpower deployment, and work distribution.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Identify potential delays or risks and propose corrective actions.
  • Maintain site documentation including daily reports, material records, and logs.

3. Quality & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards throughout project execution.
  • Follow and enforce site safety protocols and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety checks, and risk assessments.

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between site, office, and stakeholders.
  • Attend project meetings and provide status updates to management.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.

5. Material & Resource Management

  • Track material usage and inventory; raise purchase requests as needed.
  • Ensure optimal use of machinery, tools, and manpower.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
  • Record variations, site issues, and change requests.
  • Assist in preparing handover documents upon project completion.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant field) or related discipline.
  • 2–8 years of experience in project supervision or site coordination.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and MS Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and standards.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive.
