Finance and Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are a regional energy solutions company headquartered in Singapore, with operations in Singapore, Australia, and the Philippines. We are seeking an experienced Finance & Operations Manager to lead our Philippines operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial management, compliance with statutory requirements, effective business reporting, and strategic financial planning. This role also supports business operations and decision-making and works closely with the group finance team to drive financial efficiency and compliance across the group.

Key Responsibilities

Financial and Management Reporting

• Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

• Manage monthly closings, including intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.

• Prepare accurate and timely management and financial reports.

• Lead budgeting, budget control, and forecasting processes.

• Provide financial planning and analysis to support management decision-making.

Payroll and Commissions

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including statutory compliance.

• Manage the calculation and timely payout of commissions to salespersons, marketing affiliates, and distribution partners.

Business Unit Financial Management

• Own the budgeting and forecasting process for the Philippines business unit

• Monitor and manage PH-specific operating and overhead budgets in line with group expectations

• Lead PH invoice management processes, including review, approval, and system reconciliation

• Support the preparation and filing of annual financial statements

Reporting & Analysis

• Deliver timely and accurate financial and business performance reports for local and group stakeholders.

• Provide financial insights and variance analysis to support operational and strategic decisions

• Oversee in cash flow planning, forecasting, and reporting

Tax Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with tax regulations, including EWT, VAT, CIT, and other statutory filings.

• Design and implement tax-efficient structures for the Philippines' operations.

• Provide tax advice to sales and operations teams on business deals and transactions.

Other Compliances and Governance

• Oversee completion of statutory audits and ensure timely filing of financial statements.

• Coordinate with internal auditors for compliance reviews.

• Manage corporate secretarial matters and ensure statutory compliance.

Strategic and Operational Support

• Act as a strong support to Country General Manager on finance and operations matters.

• Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management and financial risk mitigation.

• Collaborate with the Head of Finance to drive tax efficiency for the Philippines.

Internal Control and Process Improvement

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and compliance frameworks.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent; CPA preferred.

• At least 8 years of experience in accounting and tax, with 3+ years in a finance leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of Philippine financial regulations, tax laws, and labor compliance.

• High attention to compliance and internal control.

• Excellent command of English and advanced Excel skills.

• Hands-on, proactive approach with team leadership capabilities.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Remote/Hybrid Work Requirements:

As a condition of employment for this remote/hybrid role, the selected candidate is required to maintain a home office setup that meets the following specifications: a personally-owned computer (BYOD) equipped with at least an Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB RAM, and a stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps.
