The Mechanical Estimator – Service is responsible for supporting the service division by preparing accurate estimates for HVAC servicing, repairs, and maintenance works. The role involves close coordination with AU-based personnel, suppliers, and clients to ensure competitive and accurate quotations are prepared, while applying technical knowledge in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

Communication and Coordination:

  • Liaise and communicate with AU-based personnel and other Australian staff through written and verbal English.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and AMS staff to resolve technical equipment issues and explore solution options.

Estimating and Quotation Preparation:

  • Assess jobs using technical background in refrigeration and air-conditioning servicing and repairs.
  • Source and price parts required for service and repair works.
  • Compile work quotations for submission to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Assess and apply appropriate time and labor requirements for each job to support accurate costing.

System and Process Support:

  • Utilize SimPRO (or other job management systems) for job assessment, pricing, and quotation preparation (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Maintain records of supplier quotations and job costings.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating and service team.

Other Duties:

  • Undertake any other directions or duties as assigned by Senior Staff in AU.
  • Aid in technical or administrative support for service operations as required.
