Job Summary:

We are seeking a CPA with strong experience in general accounting and bookkeeping. This role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial statements, managing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards. You will work closely with management to provide clear financial insights and maintain clean, up-to-date books.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger and oversee daily accounting transactions
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations
  • Record and reconcile payroll, expenses, and adjusting journal entries
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax laws and regulations
  • Prepare schedules and documentation for tax filings and audits
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
  • Coordinate with external auditors or tax consultants as needed

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (required)
  • Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping (2+ years preferred)
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SMEs or within an accounting / auditing firm
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance
  • Experience with multi-entity or multi-currency accounting (if applicable)
