We're looking for a Data Analyst (Data Quality and readiness Specialist) for a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Mandaluyong City.

The Data Analyst will review, validate, and remediate structured data (both financial and non-financial) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for integration into databases or data lakes. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to assess data quality and correct inconsistencies in datasets. The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of data quality principles, data structures, and database management tools, with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Validation: Review structured data for accuracy and validity, ensuring columns contain the correct data types and values.
• Completeness Check: Identify missing records or incomplete data and collaborate with relevant teams to fill gaps.
• Format Verification: Ensure data is properly formatted and structured, with rows and columns in the correct order.
• Data Remediation: Clean and transform data as necessary to meet quality standards and requirements for database or data lake ingestion.
• Data Quality Analysis: Monitor and report data quality metrics to ensure compliance with internal standards and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with database administrators, data engineers, and business stakeholders to align on data requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data issues, remediation steps, and validation processes.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Data Quality Expertise: Understanding of data quality concepts such as data validation, completeness, and consistency.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets and identify patterns, inconsistencies, and anomalies.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and format to ensure high data quality.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot data quality issues and recommend solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with technical and non-technical teams.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, data quality, or data governance role, preferably with exposure to financial or operational data.
• Experience in data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines.

Technical Skills & Tools:

• SQL: Proficiency in querying databases for data validation and extraction.
• Microsoft Excel: Advanced skills in data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
• Python or R: Experience with data wrangling, cleaning, and analysis using pandas, NumPy, or similar libraries.
• Data Visualization Tools: Experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar for reporting data quality metrics.
• Data Integration Platforms: Familiarity with data lakes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and tools such as Apache Spark or Databricks is a plus.
• Data Governance Tools: Knowledge of tools like Collibra or Talend for managing data quality and governance is preferred.
• Experience with Financial Data (for roles working with financial datasets): Familiarity with financial reporting standards, data taxonomy, or industry-specific data models is an advantage.

Work Environment & Reporting:

This role will report to the Senior Consultant/ Consulting Manager for Financial Services Consulting and will collaborate closely with teams working on different client projects. It offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for upskilling and exposure to new data tools and technologies.

Work set-up:

• 4 days work on-site (Mandaluyong) and 1 day work from home
• Salary is still negotiable depending on skills and experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php50, Php70,000.00 per month
