Key Responsibilities1. Warehouse Operations Management

  • Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities across dry and cold storage areas.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper product handling and temperature integrity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
  • Optimize space utilization and ensure proper segregation between allergen, non-allergen, dry, chilled, and frozen products.
  • Monitor cold room and freezer temperatures to ensure compliance with storage requirements.

2. Inventory Control & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through routine cycle counts and monthly physical stock checks.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical and system stock and report variances promptly.
  • Ensure all stock movements are recorded in the ERP/WMS system in real time.
  • Support inventory planning and material replenishment in coordination with production and procurement teams.

3. Food Safety, Hygiene & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure all warehouse operations comply with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, or BRC).
  • Maintain strict hygiene practices and ensure products are stored according to temperature and shelf-life requirements.
  • Monitor housekeeping activities and pest control compliance in both dry and cold areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections of storage areas to ensure product quality and integrity are not compromised.

4. Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including storekeepers, forklift operators, and helpers.
  • Plan and allocate manpower and shift schedules to meet operational requirements.
  • Conduct training for warehouse personnel on SOPs, food handling, safety, and equipment use.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

5. Health, Safety & Equipment Management

  • Ensure all warehouse staff follow safety procedures and use required PPE.
  • Conduct safety audits and incident investigations; implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and temperature monitoring systems.
  • Ensure all cold storage equipment is functioning efficiently and report any deviations immediately.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with production, quality assurance, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure smooth material and product flow.
  • Coordinate dispatch with logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly warehouse performance reports (inventory status, dispatch reports, temperature logs, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of warehouse supervisory experience in a food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of dry and cold storage management, including temperature control and food handling.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems and basic MS Office skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, or BRC).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
