Main Duties and Responsibilities (Cashier):

  • Oversee and ensure the security of cash-on-hand, accuracy of all collections/remittances, and prize releases.
  • Supervise cash collection, counting, handover, and reconciliation across multiple shifts.
  • Monitor and validate customer financial transactions (cash, credit, debit), ensuring proper issuance of receipts, refunds, and change.
  • Review and consolidate daily operational reports (collections, disbursements, deposits, prize pools, etc.) for management submission.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all financial entries in the system.
  • Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies across all cashiering operations.
  • Train, mentor, and monitor junior cashiers to maintain high standards of performance and service.
  • Conduct regular audits of cash drawers, investigating and resolving discrepancies immediately.
  • Provide escalation support for complex customer concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Coordinate with the Branch Cashier and management on financial reporting and operational updates.
  • Uphold compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Maintain orderliness, readiness, and proper supply of the cashiering area.
  • Drive service excellence by fostering a culture of integrity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 6months to 1year of experience in cashiering, banking, or financial operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/lead role.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Advanced numerical, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in POS systems and familiar with financial reconciliation procedures.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Flexible to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
