Job Summary:

The
Tenancy Engineer
is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all tenant-related fit-out, renovation, and maintenance works within the property are executed in compliance with building standards, safety regulations, and approved design guidelines. The role provides technical support to tenants, coordinates with contractors, and ensures smooth integration of tenant requirements with the building's systems and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate
    tenant fit-out and renovation plans
    , ensuring compliance with building design standards, engineering requirements, and safety codes.
  • Coordinate and supervise
    tenant construction and maintenance activities
    , including pre-construction meetings, work permits, and inspections.
  • Provide
    technical support and guidance to tenants and contractors
    , addressing engineering or building system-related concerns.
  • Conduct
    regular inspections of tenant spaces
    to ensure compliance with approved plans and building regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Building Manager, Head of Engineering, and other departments to resolve
    tenant-related operational and technical issues
    .
  • Ensure proper documentation of tenant works, including approvals, permits, inspections, and as-built plans.
  • Assist in the
    handover and turnover of units
    , ensuring all MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) systems are properly inspected and functional.
  • Monitor and ensure tenants' contractors
    comply with health, safety, and security protocols
    while working within the property.
  • Prepare and submit
    progress reports, inspection findings, and recommendations
    to management.
  • Maintain good relationships with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders to support smooth project execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Manager or Head of Engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
    .
  • Licensed Engineer (ME and/or EE) preferred.
  • Proven experience in
    tenancy coordination, building engineering, or facilities management
    within residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties.
  • Strong understanding of
    fit-out guidelines, MEPF systems, and construction practices
    .
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tenants and deadlines.
  • Strong
    communication and interpersonal skills
    , with the ability to liaise effectively with tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in
    MS Office
    and familiarity with project documentation and reporting.
  • Willingness to be assigned at the designated property site.
