Job Title: Credit and Collection Manager

Location: Taguig City, Philippines

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Credit and Collection Manager to oversee credit policies, accounts receivable, and collections operations. The role involves managing a team, mitigating credit risk, optimizing collection processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Credit Management

  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures for new and existing customers
  • Conduct credit investigations and assessments; recommend credit terms and limits for Finance Controller approval
  • Monitor customer credit profiles and adjust terms/limits as needed
  • Perform annual credit reviews

2. Billing & Collection Management

  • Oversee accurate and timely invoicing
  • Set collection targets and monitor accounts receivable aging
  • Implement collection strategies to minimize bad debt
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent customers

3. Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze collection trends and customer payment behavior
  • Prepare AR and collection status reports for management
  • Recommend provisions for doubtful accounts in line with accounting standards

4. Customer Relations

  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve credit/collection issues
  • Maintain positive customer relationships while enforcing credit policies

5. Compliance & Legal

  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to credit and collections
  • Coordinate with legal counsel or external agencies as needed

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and train the credit and collection team
  • Set objectives, conduct evaluations, and promote a strong team culture

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master's degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFA) is a plus
  • 5–7 years in credit, collections, accounts receivable, or related financial roles
  • 2–3 years in supervisory/managerial capacity
  • Experience developing credit policies and managing high-volume receivables
  • Strong risk assessment, account analysis, and dispute management skills
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
