Hemy AS is seeking an
Operational Technology (OT) Developer
 to lead the design, development, and implementation of IoT solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies in the Facility and Property

Management environment.

The role combines cloud architecture expertise with hands-on OT integration — connecting Building Management Systems (BMS), IoT devices, and sensors with Azure cloud services. You will ensure that live building data (HVAC, lighting, energy, access control, and other systems) flows securely and efficiently into digital platforms to enable real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and energy optimization.

Architecture & Development

  • Design and architect scalable and secure IoT solutions using Azure IoT Hub, IoT Edge, Azure Digital Twins, Azure Functions, and related services.
  • Define and document system architectures for smart building and facility automation solutions.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and integrations to collect, process, and analyze telemetry data from BMS and IoT devices.
  • Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using Azure Data Lake, Stream Analytics, and Cosmos DB.

Operational Technology (OT) Integration

  • Configure, manage, and monitor live data integrations between BMS platforms (Niagara Tridium etc.) and cloud systems.
  • Work with protocols such as BACnet/IP, Modbus, MQTT, OPC-UA, and REST APIs for real-time data exchange.
  • Ensure data reliability, accuracy, and integrity across all live data streams.
  • Collaborate with IT, facility engineers, and vendors to ensure compatibility, performance, and cybersecurity of OT systems.
  • Support integration with Property and Facility Management Systems and analytics dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Fabric).

Collaboration & Analytics

  • Partner with data analysts to enable predictive maintenance, occupancy analytics, and energy optimization.
  • Work with supploers and building system engineers for integration and troubleshooting of smart building components.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards.
  • Contribute to documentation, system diagrams, and standard operating procedures for all OT/IoT integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of IoT development experience / Azure IoT architecture and implementation.
  • Preferably with experience working with smart building systems, facility automation, or property technology (PropTech).
  • Strong understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) and operational data from HVAC, lighting, energy, and security systems.
  • Preferably with knowledge of networking principles (IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs) and OT cybersecurity best practices.
  • Preferably with experience with C#, Python, , and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience on Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric for visualization and analytics is an advantage.
  • Nice to have: Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer Specialty or Azure Solutions Architect.
  • Must be able to report to Alabang (Manila) or Davao Ph offices or Amristar India Office, depending on location.
