Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Trailer Truck Driver to handle the transportation of scrap materials, recyclable goods, and junk items to and from our junkshop facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy vehicles, knowledge of proper loading/unloading of scrap materials, and a strong commitment to safety and punctuality.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive trailer trucks to collect, transport, and deliver scrap materials from various collection points, clients, or suppliers to the junkshop or recycling facility
  • Ensure proper and secure loading/unloading of materials using forklifts, loaders, or manual labor as needed
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips (e.g., checking tires, lights, fluid levels)
  • Maintain clean and organized truck and ensure compliance with junkshop safety procedures
  • Coordinate with junkshop staff for dispatching, delivery schedules, and route planning
  • Accurately complete delivery receipts, trip logs, and any required paperwork
  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols, including PPE use when handling scrap materials
  • Report any incidents, delays, or vehicle issues to the supervisor promptly

Qualifications:
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – Class A (or local equivalent)
  • Proven experience driving trailer trucks, ideally in the junk, recycling, or construction industries
  • Clean driving record and valid medical certificate (if required by local laws)
  • Physically fit; able to lift heavy materials and work in dusty, outdoor environments
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance is a plus
  • Familiarity with scrap materials handling and recycling processes is an advantage

Work Environment:
  • Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, dust, noise, and scrap materials
  • May involve early morning starts, long hours, or weekend shifts
  • Requires occasional manual labor during loading/unloading
