Wave Planner

Job Objective or Purpose

Typically works in logistics and supply chain management, specifically focusing on planning and optimizing order fulfillment. The role involves ensuring that orders are organized and shipped in an efficient manner, often in warehouse or distribution center settings. And ensures the smooth execution of picking waves to meet shipping deadlines and improve order flow efficiency.

• Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

Here's a general description of the role.

· Order Grouping: Plan and group orders into "waves" to optimize picking and shipping processes. A wave refers to a set of orders that are released into the system at the same time.

· Planning Optimization: Ensure plans are optimize based on truck size, capacity, volume, weight and freight cost.

· Schedule Planning: Determine the timing and sequencing of waves based on demand, labor availability, and shipping deadlines.

· Warehouse Coordination: Work closely with warehouse management to ensure that the assigned waves are processed in a timely manner and according to operational priorities.

· System Management: Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to release and track waves, ensuring that order picking are aligned with the planned schedule.

· Inventory Optimization: Ensure inventory levels are accurately reflected and that the most efficient stock is available for picking, aiming to minimize delays or stockouts.

· Resource Allocation: Coordinate with team leaders and supervisors to ensure that labor resources are appropriately allocated across waves.

· Performance Monitoring: Track the progress of waves to ensure that goals are met, making adjustments to plans as necessary to address delays or other issues.

· Problem Resolution: Address any issues that arise during the wave planning process, such as unfulfilled orders or system errors, and work toward solutions.

· Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as inventory, and transportation to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

· Reporting: Provided reporting and analysis on wave performance, identifying process improvements for high-volume days.

· Reporting: Analyzed order data to prioritize wave creation based on shipping deadlines and workforce availability

· Reporting: Implemented wave planning best practices, contributing to on-time shipment rate

Education:

• College Graduate in any field

• BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management is a plus

Work Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment

Competencies

• Excellent Communication Skill

• Strong Excel/data analysis skills

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency with WMS systems

• Computer literate on MS applications

• Well Organized with high attention to details

• Should be able to work with minimal supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Iloilo City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Warehouse or Distribution: 1 year (Preferred)
