JOB ROLE:

OPERATIONS MANAGER (DOORS & WINDOWS)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the doors and windows division, ensuring efficient project execution, quality control, and timely delivery. This role requires strong leadership, operational planning, and coordination across departments including procurement, production, logistics, and installation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Overseeing the entire project lifecycle from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordination and Communication: Ensuring effective communication and collaboration between site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Quality and Safety Management: Implementing and enforcing quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards on-site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Resource Management: Managing the procurement, delivery, and utilization of materials and equipment, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervising and mentoring site engineers, supervisors, and field staff, fostering a productive and efficient work environment.
  • Financial Management: Monitoring project budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance productivity.
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in operations or project management within the construction industry
  • A solid understanding of window and door construction principles, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Expertise with different types of doors and windows, including materials like uPVC, aluminum, and glass.
  • Strong knowledge of doors and windows systems, installation techniques, and materials
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
