Site Engineer

Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing construction work on-site to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to design specifications. Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other workers, check technical drawings, and monitor daily site activities. Solves on-site problems, ensure quality control, and make sure that construction follows safety and building regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure construction work aligns with the engineering plans.
  • Develop project timelines, cost estimates.
  • Assist in resolving any technical issues that arise on site.
  • Coordinate with project manager, technical director and sub/contractors to ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor progress and report updates to higher management.
  • Supervise and monitor the site labor force and subcontractors.
  • Maintain order and safety on the construction site.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure that the work complies with quality standards.
  • Check materials and workmanship against specifications.
  • Report defects and ensure corrective measures are taken.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe work practices
  • Maintain records of work progress, site activities, and material usage.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports.
  • Liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute technical input.
  • Address client queries and concerns.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit, and other design related to drafting tools.
  • With 1-2 years of site experience, fresh graduates are also welcome.
  • COSH certification (optional but preferred).
  • With Drivers License (optional but preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Understanding in safety regulations and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
