QA/QC Lead

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the technical quality of drawing production across all project teams, ensuring alignment with international design standards, optimized documentation workflows, and enhanced drawing productivity. This role bridges creative intent with high-quality, efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. QA/QC Oversight

• Review all drawing packages before submission to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Implement rigorous QA/QC checklists for each drawing stage.

• Ensure compliance with local codes and international best practices across all project locations.

• Company Standards & Optimization

• Refine and update the studio's drawing and documentation standards, including templates, layers, line weights, annotation styles, etc.

• Conduct internal training and onboarding to ensure all team members adopt and maintain these standards.

• Monitor implementation and provide regular feedback for continuous improvement.

• Workflow & Tool Improvement

• Recommend and implement new tools or plugins to improve productivity.

• Automate repetitive tasks where possible and promote digital efficiency.

• Evaluate new software regularly and integrate if beneficial.

• Team Coordination

• Act as a central point of communication between design teams and technical production teams.

• Support and mentor junior staff in resolving drawing issues or improving drafting skills.

• Coordinate across offices (remotely) to align production efforts and ensure global standardization.

• Project Support

• Collaborate with Design Directors, Project Architects, and BIM leads to support project delivery schedules.

• Attend milestone coordination reviews to ensure production readiness.
• Provide technical advice on constructibility and detailing.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or related field.

• 10 years of experience in technical drawing production, documentation, and detailing.
• Previous experience in a reputable international design firm is required.
• Familiarity with different building codes and documentation practices (Asia, Middle East, Europe preferred).

Technical Proficiency

• Expert in:
• AutoCAD (with CAD standards management dynamic blocks library managment)
• Sketch UP (Able to quickly model and edit design details to validate drawings. Cross-checking dimensions, visualizing junctions. Familiarity with tag/layer structure and dynamic components)
• Revit (Family creation, standards, QA tools)
• Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and file mark-up workflows (bonus)
• Enscape, Twinmotion, Rhino, Grasshopper (bonus)
• Strong understanding of layer management, annotation control, xrefs, and sheet setup.
• Skilled in template creation and block/dynamic family libraries.

• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) to coordinate across teams.
• Proactive and independent, able to lead without micromanagement.
• Passion for improving systems, tools, and workflows for team efficiency.

Soft Skills

• Culturally adaptive; comfortable working in a global, remote team.
• Patient and supportive when guiding or correcting team members.
• Able to manage pressure during submission periods and resolve issues swiftly.

Location & Work Setup

• Preferably based in the Philippines or Vietnam, but remote-friendly
• Ability to overlap with Singapore working hours
• Occasional online training or late meetings due to global team coordination

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php55,000.00 per month
