About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Merchandising and Supply Chain Head to lead our overall merchandising, procurement, and supply chain strategies. This role is critical in driving profitability, ensuring operational efficiency, and aligning merchandise offerings with customer demand and market trends. The Head will oversee supplier partnerships, inventory management, purchasing operations, and branch support, while also leading initiatives to enhance sales performance and competitiveness in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement merchandising and supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Merchandising Management: Guide product selection, pricing, display standards, and promotions to achieve sales targets.
  • Supplier Management: Lead negotiations, monitor supplier performance, and secure favorable terms, discounts, and marketing support.
  • Supply Chain Oversight: Supervise purchasing, delivery follow-ups, inventory monitoring, returns, ageing stock, and warehouse collaboration.
  • Market & Competition Analysis: Study market trends, pricing behaviors, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to recommend proactive actions.
  • Concession & Branch Support: Oversee concessionaire contracts, branch merchandising displays, delivery/transfer issues, and customer-facing standards.
  • People Leadership: Coach, train, and evaluate Purchasing and Supply Chain Officers; ensure strong accountability and professional representation of the company.
  • Management Participation: Actively join planning, meetings, and decision-making with the management committee.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
  • At least 5 years of experience in merchandising, procurement, or supply chain leadership in retail, FMCG, or related industries.
  • Strong background in supplier negotiations, inventory management, and market analysis.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth, operational efficiency, and supplier collaboration.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • High integrity and strong sense of accountability.
