About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Planning Engineer to join our construction project team. This is a great opportunity for recent engineering graduates or junior professionals looking to build a career in project planning and controls within the construction industry.

You will support senior planning engineers and project managers in scheduling, tracking progress, and reporting for ongoing construction projects. If you're eager to learn, organized, and passionate about construction, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Support site teams by tracking daily and weekly construction progress.
  • Update and monitor project timelines, milestones, and critical paths.
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports (progress reports, S-curves, histograms, look-ahead schedules).
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and procurement teams for data collection.
  • Help identify and report potential delays or risks to project timelines.
  • Maintain planning documentation and support in claims or extension of time (EOT) analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 1–2 years of experience in construction project planning (internships count).
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic understanding of construction phases and work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on-site and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or hands-on experience on a construction project.
  • Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM) and resource planning.
  • Understanding of project documentation such as BOQs, drawings, and method statements.
