DEVOPS SPECIALIST

The DevOps Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth integration of software development and IT operations while also managing essential IT infrastructure, both hardware and software. This role involves building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring security compliance, and supporting the organization's hardware and software needs. The DevOps Specialist bridges development and operations teams while also providing technical support and administration for IT systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
  • Manage infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Implement and manage monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Automate configuration management using Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
  • Manage cloud and containerized environments (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Ensure security, compliance, and system performance across all platforms.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and networking equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, and servers.
  • Provide technical support for end-users, including setup and maintenance of workstations.
  • Manage IT inventory, asset tracking, and system upgrades.
  • Ensure regular system backups and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Implement security best practices for both hardware and software systems.
  • Maintain documentation of IT processes, network diagrams, and system configurations.

Hard Skills (Technical Skills)

  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a DevOps, Systems Administration, or IT Infrastructure role.
  • Hands-on experience in managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in hardware and software troubleshooting and IT support.
  • Experience in automation, scripting, and configuration management.
  • Background in security implementation and compliance management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices, such as Scrum or Kanban, to work effectively in iterative development environments.
