Job Title: General Accountant / Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance:

- Maintain and monitor books of accounts (general ledger, journals, subsidiary ledgers)

- Monitor expenses and assist in budget preparation.

- Support external audits and provide required financial documents

- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Prepare, review, and file BIR tax returns for Corporations and Partnerships, including but not limited to:

~ Income Tax Returns

~ VAT / Percentage Tax

~ Withholding Taxes (EWT, FWT)

- Prepare and submit SLSP, SAWT, Alphalist, and other BIR compliance reports.

- Ensure compliance with SEC, BIR, LGU, and other regulatory agencies

- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filing for multiple companies

- Handle tax assessments, audits, and correspondence with BIR and other agencies

- Stay updated on Philippine tax laws applicable to Corporations and Partnerships

Corporate & Partnership

- Ensure compliance with SEC requirements, including:

~ General Information Sheet (GIS)

~ Audited Financial Statements (AFS)

~ Other SEC reportorial requirements

- Handle registration, amendments, and updates for Corporations and Partnerships

- Monitor compliance with Articles of Incorporation/Partnership and By-Laws

- Maintain statutory books and compliance records for each entity

Compliance & Internal Control

- Develop and monitor internal controls across different companies

- Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions

- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards

Knowledge and Skills

- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation for Corporations and Partnerships

- Familiar with SEC reportorial requirements and corporate governance

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.

Experience

- At least 2 years experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance

- Proven experience handling multiple entities (Corporation and Partnership)

- Hands-on experience with BIR, SEC, and LGU compliance

- Experience handling tax audits and assessments is an advantage
