Job description:
The Service Head leads the Service Department and is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and supervision of after-sales service operations, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and customer support. This role ensures client satisfaction, efficient resource deployment, and compliance with safety and quality standards, while also working closely with sales and project teams to support business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily operations of HVAC service technicians and support staff.
- Plan, schedule, and assign service jobs including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.
- Monitor and ensure the timely completion of service projects with high quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field service teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Ensure safety compliance in all site operations and enforce company policies.
- Review service reports, analyze job costs, and prepare performance reports for management.
- Coordinate with Sales, Projects, and Warehouse teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage service inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Recommend process improvements, training programs, and staff development plans.
- Lead recruitment, evaluation, and mentoring of service personnel.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with local regulations (e.g., DOLE, ECC, and other permits).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer (preferred but not required).
- At least 5 years of experience in HVAC service, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems (VRF, split type, chilled water, etc.) and service procedures.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and service management software.
