JOB SUMMARY: (In a few lines, describe the over-all job or function of the position)

The Project-In-Charge oversees and manages the day-to-day construction activities of the project site assigned and responsible for coordinating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that construction progresses according to schedule, quality standards, and safety protocols. The Project-In-Charge serves as the main point of contact for all construction-related concerns and works closely with the project team to achieve project objectives.

DUTY (Critical/key obligation to perform)

PLANNING AND COORDINATION:

· Plan projects, establish project criteria, and coordinate project reviews to ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.

· Prepare project schedules, timelines, and milestones, and monitor progress against established targets to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.

· Coordinate with project team members, contractors, and stakeholders to allocate resources, resolve issues, and optimize project workflow for maximum efficiency.

IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT ELEMENTS:

· Ensure the proper implementation of project elements by coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to execute project plans according to specifications and quality standards.

· Oversee the preparation, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project requirements and objectives.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS:

· Analyze technical drawings, interpret specifications, and determine the electrical requirements of a given project to inform project planning and execution.

· Collaborate with engineering teams and clients to review project scope, identify technical challenges, and develop solutions that meet project objectives and customer expectations.

CLIENT LIASON:

· Liaise with other engineers and clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, providing technical guidance, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

· Act as the primary point of contact for client communications, project updates, and feedback to maintain positive relationships and achieve project success.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

· Manage and monitor all assigned electrical projects, overseeing project activities, budgets, and schedules to ensure compliance with project requirements and contractual agreements.

· Ensure health and safety codes are obeyed at all times by implementing safety protocols, conducting safety inspections, and enforcing safety measures on project sites.

QUALITY ASSURANCE:

· Complete quality assurance on all electrical components and projects by conducting inspections, tests, and evaluations to verify compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

· Write up reports detailing quality findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to address any deficiencies and ensure the delivery of high-quality electrical projects.

PROFILE OF JOB / POSITION HOLDER

EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT:

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE:

· Registered Electrical Engineer

· Certification and training in project management is advantageous.

EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing electrical projects of similar scope and scale.

· Extensive knowledge of electrical methods, techniques, and practices, with hands-on experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, and project execution.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical plans, drawings, and specifications, with a strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

· Familiarity with electrical / construction management software, CAD software, scheduling tools, and project documentation systems for organizing, tracking, and managing construction activities.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information, instructions, and project updates to diverse audiences.

· Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with contractors, subcontractors, clients, and project team members, fostering collaboration and teamwork.

LEADERSHIP ABILITIES:

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

· Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks, empower team members, and foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
