Job Summary:

The Camp Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, management, and supervision of camp operations to ensure the safety, well-being, and dignity of all residents in accordance with humanitarian standards. This role serves as the main focal point for the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), government agencies, and humanitarian partners, ensuring effective service delivery and organized camp governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Camp Coordination & Management: Oversee daily camp operations, maintain safety and order, and facilitate coordination with LGUs, national agencies, and humanitarian partners.
  • Shelter & Site Planning: Supervise the setup, maintenance, and improvement of shelters and communal facilities in line with Sphere Standards and PRC guidelines.
  • Service Delivery & Monitoring: Ensure equitable access to essential services (WASH, health, food, protection) and maintain updated camp records and reports.
  • Community Engagement & Protection: Promote community participation, address protection concerns, and manage complaints and feedback mechanisms.
  • Logistics & Resource Management: Manage camp resources and inventories, oversee distribution of relief items, and coordinate logistics and supply needs.
  • Staff & Volunteer Supervision: Lead and train PRC staff and volunteers, ensuring adherence to humanitarian and safety standards.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular situation and incident reports, and document lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement.

Overall Purpose:

To lead, coordinate, and ensure the safe, humane, and efficient operation of the camp, providing essential services and upholding the dignity and welfare of all camp residents.
