Key Responsibilities:

Drawing and Detailing:

• Produce detailed shop drawings, erection drawings, and production tickets for precast concrete components using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures).
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.

Coordination and Collaboration:

• Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to interpret design intent and resolve any discrepancies.
• Coordinate with other trades (e.g., structural steel, MEP) to ensure seamless integration of precast components into the overall project.

Modeling and Design:

• Create 3D models of precast concrete elements (incl reinforcement) to visualize and optimize designs.
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts in the design phase.

Quality Assurance:

• Review and verify the accuracy of drawings and models before submission.
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered on time.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support to the production and erection teams during the manufacturing and installation processes.
• Address and resolve any issues or changes that arise during production or construction.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in precast detailing.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualification and requirements:

• Education:
  Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in precast concrete detailing or a similar role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (Tekla Structures) and familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of precast concrete systems, construction methods, and building codes.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and error-free drawings.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve design and coordination issues efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with precast concrete production and erection processes.
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles.
• Australian experience
