Role Overview:

The
Clinical Consultant – Psychiatry
will lead the strategic development and implementation of Behavioral Health and Emotional Wellness programs across the organization. This role is designed for a seasoned clinical professional who can collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, and counselors—to enhance mental health support systems for employees and patients. The consultant will serve as a subject matter expert in psychiatry, guiding program design, clinical protocols, and wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development & Strategy

  • Design and implement Behavioral Health and Emotional Wellness programs tailored to organizational needs.

  • Develop evidence-based protocols and interventions for mental health support.

  • Collaborate with leadership to align wellness initiatives with business goals and employee needs.

Clinical Oversight & Consultation

  • Provide psychiatric expertise to MDs, nurses, and counselors.

  • Review clinical cases and offer guidance on diagnosis, treatment planning, and care coordination.

  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards and ethical practices.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing wellness initiatives.

  • Facilitate training and workshops on mental health awareness and resilience.

  • Advise leadership on opportunities to improve mental health outcomes and reduce medical expenses.

Operational Impact

  • Own end-to-end processes related to behavioral health program delivery.

  • Resolve complex clinical and operational challenges across teams.

  • Influence decisions that impact functional areas and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education & Licensure

  • Medical Degree (MD) with active medical licensure.

  • Board certification in Psychiatry preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including 3–5 years post-residency.

  • Experience in program development, preferably in behavioral health or wellness.

  • Familiarity with reviewing medical charts and synthesizing clinical data.

Skills

  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams.

  • Exposure to persuasive writing and structured clinical documentation is a plus.
