· Proper endorsement of outgoing to incoming duty every shift; never leave the area without a reliever.

· Maintain the cleanliness of the Nursing Unit every shift. Dust tables, cabinets, blinds and other equipment including mopping the floor as needed.

· Collects empty vials, used syringes, and soiled gloves and brings to CSR one hour before the end of the shift.

· Transports patient from ER to their respective room; brings the patient to X-ray, ultrasound, or other units for any procedure to be done.

· Performs Basic Nursing Procedures such as lifting, turning and changing the linen of bedridden patients, etc.

· Brings any request/specimen to laboratory with the corresponding request notebook.

· Helps Nursing Assistant in ensuring availability of ice at all times; defrost refrigerator once a week at night shift.

· Checks the numbers of oxygen tanks and oxygen gauge to be ready for every patient use; replacement of empty oxygen tank with full tank.

· Performs functions designated by staff nurses.

· Checks all equipment and ensures that they are functioning.

· See to it that all beds are complete with linen and pillows.

· Tidy beds and bedside tables, cabinets and bedside chairs.

· Assists in changing linen of patients.

· Attends morning rounds with the ward nurses.

· Assists in giving baths to ambulatory patients.

· Serves drinking water and nourishments to patients.

· Helps feed patients who cannot eat by themselves.

· Answers patient's calls and delivers messages.

· Scrubs bedpans, urinals, kidney basins and Kelly pads.
