Facilities Technician/HVAC Helper

Qualifications:

  • With College Degree or Technical or Vocational Certificate in Electro-Mechanical Technology or Industrial Maintenance.
  • With at least 1-3 years of work experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical or electrical.
  • Must be proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • With expertise in HVAC/AC Repair.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct filter, coil, and condenser cleaning and checking of air condition, cooling tower and chillers.
  • Carries out preventive maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems.
  • Repair damage and dis-functional air conditioning units.
  • Checking of air con functions and status.
  • Fixing and checking of package type, window, split type air condition, cooling tower, and chiller units.
  • Request for materials required for the smooth operation of the refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
  • Generation and encoding of reported damage of the air condition, cooling tower and chillers.
  • Checking its major parts (i.e. freon).
  • Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
  • Checking/ assistance of air condition leakage.
  • Assist in verification of air conditioning spares purchased/supplied.
  • Ensure that the air conditioning system is in good condition at all time.
  • Make recommendations to replace equipment if expected to repair exceeds possible replacement cost.
  • Perform regular cleaning of the equipment (HVAC).
  • Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended and type of work performed .
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned like assistance to electrician or mechanics during preventive maintenance or electrical work and other job required by superior.
