We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements (including GST, BAS, and Superannuation), and proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:
  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments)
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and Superannuation
  • Maintain general ledgers and trial balance
  • Assist with payroll processing and reporting
  • Generate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Ensure compliance with ATO regulations and company policies
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax agents as required
  • Maintain accurate and organised financial records
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role in Australia
  • Sound knowledge of Australian tax laws and payroll regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or higher qualification)
  • Registered BAS Agent (preferred but not required)
