We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Full Stack Developer to maintain and enhance our internal web application and API, which integrate with ServiceM8 and other systems used in client's operations. You will work on both the React front-end and the Node/TypeScript back-end, building new features, improving existing functionality, and ensuring seamless integration with external services.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the existing React web app and Node/TypeScript API.
  • Build new features and components using React, Chakra UI, Material UI, and TypeScript.
  • Integrate with the ServiceM8 API and other third-party services.
  • Write and maintain REST API endpoints using Express and Sequelize (PostgreSQL).
  • Implement and troubleshoot authentication, file uploads, and email sending.
  • Optimize performance and ensure responsive, accessible UI.
  • Maintain clean, well-documented code and follow version control best practices

Requirements / Qualifications: 

  1. Proficiency in React 18 with TypeScript, including:

  2. Component libraries: Chakra UI, Material UI

  3. Routing with React Router v6
  4. State management using hooks and context
  5. API handling via Axios
  6. Experience with Framer Motion, react-select, and data grid components
  7. Image manipulation using react-cropper and react-image-crop

  8. Styling with Emotion (CSS-in-JS)

  9. Backend development with and TypeScript

  10. REST API development using Express

  11. Database handling with Sequelize ORM and PostgreSQL
  12. Authentication with JWT
  13. File uploads using Multer
  14. Working knowledge of AWS SDK, Nodemailer for email, and Redis (ioredis)

  15. Experience integrating with ServiceM8 API is a strong plus

  16. Proficient with Git and GitHub

  17. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) 

  18. Self-driven and able to work independently 
  19. Prior experience in remote collaboration
