Senior Graphic Designer

Role Summary/Purpose:

The Senior Production Designer plays a critical role in delivering polished, high-quality graphic assets across print and digital channels. Partnering closely with the Associate Creative Director (ACD), Production Manager (PM), and cross-functional teams, this role ensures design concepts are accurately translated and adapted across multiple formats while adhering to brand and production standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills and sharp creative judgment to support efficient project execution in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Line of Business Associate Creative Director (ACD) and Production Coordinator (PC) to establish clear design objectives, define project priorities, assign tasks, and develop realistic schedules to ensure timely delivery.

• Utilize a strong attention to detail and a blend of graphic design and technical production expertise to layout, revise, and prepare high-quality print and digital assets.

• Create and manipulate graphics proficiently using industry-standard design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma, ensuring consistent application of design concepts across various sizes and formats.

• Format, review, collect, and package creative assets in accordance with pre-established templates, style guides, and packaging systems, maintaining strict adherence to production guidelines and brand standards.

• Maintain organized project file structures and apply consistent file naming conventions to facilitate efficient asset management and collaboration.

• Conduct meticulous reviews of marked-up proofs from business partners and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.

• Prepare and optimize image assets for a range of digital channels, including web, email, paid marketing, blogs, and social media, while complying with channel-specific technical and production constraints.

• Support the exhibit design team by contributing to the creation of proposals, collateral

materials, and conceptual visuals for exhibits, encompassing both print and digital formats.

• Occasionally produce original imagery and assets that comply with Synchrony's, the Line of Business's, or the Customer's established brand standards.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Production Designers, fostering quality control, adherence to design standards, and professional growth within the team.

• Manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently, balancing shifting priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of output.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Digital Design, Graphic Design, or related field, OR in lieu of degree, a high school diploma and 4+ years of work experience in an agency environment or as an agency contractor

• 10+ years of experience in delivering high quality digital design, motion, interactive work in a fast-paced agency and/or production environment.

• Expert knowledge of modern digital design tools: Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint a plus

• Proven HTML, HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript skills

Desired Characteristics:

● Knowledge of all steps required in the creative development process

● Experience with Google Web Designer, Google Studio are a plus

● Cinema 4D experience and Digital illustration skills are a plus.

● Working knowledge of design, brand development and overall creative process

● Able to manage a high volume of projects with constantly changing deadlines
