Role Overview
The Events Sales Executive – Socials is responsible for driving event sales related to social functions, including weddings, birthdays, private parties, anniversaries, and other special occasions. This role involves end-to-end management of the sales process, from lead generation and client engagement to event coordination in collaboration with internal departments. The Executive will ensure that all client requirements are met with excellence while maximizing revenue opportunities for the resort.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales generation and client acquisition
o Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities for social events.
o Handle client inquiries, prepare proposals, conduct site inspections, and close deals.
o Develop relationships with potential and repeat clients through networking, referrals, and targeted campaigns.
o Attend industry events, bridal fairs, and social expos to represent the resort and generate leads.
2. Event coordination and execution
o Coordinate closely with the Banquet, Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, and AV teams to ensure successful event delivery.
o Assist clients in planning event details including venue selection, layout, menu, décor, entertainment, and special requests.
o Prepare detailed function sheets and ensure all departments are aligned on guest requirements and service expectations.
3. Client relationship management
o Serve as the primary point of contact for social event clients, ensuring exceptional service and personalized experiences.
o Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and promote future bookings or referrals.
o Maintain a client database for future marketing and relationship-building initiatives.
4. Sales reporting and administration
o Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, proposals, bookings, and financial transactions.
o Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and competitive analysis to the Events Sales Manager.
o Monitor and track event performance metrics, including revenue, client satisfaction, and upsell conversions.
Qualifications and requirements:
· Education and experience
o Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field.
o Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in events sales, preferably within a luxury resort or hotel setting.
o Experience handling social events such as weddings, birthdays, debut parties, and private functions is essential.
· Skills and competencies
o Strong sales and negotiation skills with a client-centric mindset.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
o Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with CRM software or events management tools.
o High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
o Strong organizational and time management skills, able to work with minimal supervision.
