Position Overview

The Finance Associate will support the Finance & Accounting team by handling commission receivables and monitoring, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, and assisting with tax-related compliance. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

Commission Management

  • Receive, record, and monitor sales commissions from developers, brokers, and internal agents.
  • Prepare and reconcile commission schedules and ensure proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with sales and operations teams to validate commission-related transactions.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable related to commissions.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, withholding taxes, and other applicable taxes).
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of taxation laws relevant to real estate transactions.

General Support

  • Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of taxation (BIR compliance, VAT, withholding tax).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the real estate industry is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with commission structures and monitoring systems.
  • Good communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
