Job Summary:

To develop and administer programs to ensure employee safety and agency compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations for specified facilities, operations and the visiting public.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Graduate of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Course
  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of working experience in Manufacturing Industry
  • Knowledge in handling manpower

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Inspects facilities observing operations and activities, investigating health and safety complaints and ensuring that the

District is in compliance with safety regulations.

  1. Observes work in progress, ensures that proper safety equipment is worn and procedures are followed.

  2. Coordinates and consults with the Management regarding health and safety issues in their respective areas and notified management staff regarding violation of safety regulations and odes.

  3. Make recommendations for corrections and follow up to ensure that violations have been corrected.

  4. Develops policies, plans and procedures to minimize risk to the system and employees.

  5. Administers the occupational injured workers program, Worker's Compensation; compiles, analyzes and interprets accident, injury and lost time statistics and cost data reports for the management.

  6. Resolves complaints and makes recommendations to management for corrective action, as required.

  7. Conducts or provides for employee safety training, including lectures, seminars demonstrations or hands-on instruction.

  8. Reviews accidents and makes recommendation for prevention of similar future incidents.
