To complement our rapid growth, we are seeking a Sr. GL Accountant to join our US Accounting team. This position will be remote. The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and management alike in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate is someone who experience in preparing journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, and ensuring data accuracy. Successful candidates will have attention to detail, strong technical accounting experience and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically.

Job Description

• Responsible for certain month-end close, reconciliation and reporting procedures
• Review and prepare monthly close packages for foreign subsidiaries
• Prepare monthly Cost Plus JEs, funding, and cash projections
• Perform the day-to day accounting processes and procedures relating to, but not limited to fixed assets, prepaids, payroll, and certain accruals
• Perform tasks associated with the general ledger, (i.e., enters monthly journal entries)
• Perform monthly reconciliations and account analysis for designated balance sheet accounts and certain operating accounts
• Review daily bank activities and prepare JEs for bank reconciliations
• Assist on quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures with external auditors
• Assist with SOX controls and facilitate PBCs for external and internal auditors
• Prepare monthly BS & P/L Fluxes
• Assist with technical accounting, as needed
• Perform additional tasks as requested
• Interfaces with other departments to determine the monthly accruals and other monthly journal entries, especially relating to closing activities. Communicate with the employee population regarding relevant accounting issues.
• Identify opportunities and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality continuously

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• 5 years of General Ledger experience
• Strong understanding of international accounting, intercompany reconciliation, and foreign exchange required
• Strong understanding of accounting operations and close procedures
• NetSuite experience highly desirable
• Highly detail oriented and organized in work
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel a plus (v-lookups, pivot tables)
• Professional attitude, attention to detail, can successfully work cross collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities, ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment is critical
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work independently as well as in a team environment
• Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines and deliverables with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work well with a variety of employee levels and functions
• Public accounting experience desirable
• Amenable to work US time or night shift schedule
