ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant who will report to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for assisting with the monthly general ledger close, balance sheet, and income statement analysis, and other projects as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Handle the month-end close entries (accruals, prepaid, WIP/fixed assets, corporate allocations, benefits, insurance, intercompany, etc.)

  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations by preparing all reconciliations for each balance sheet account, noting any reconciling items

  • Perform monthly account flux analysis and expense reviews

  • Purchase card review and reconciliation, upload charges into NetSuite to hit the proper GL accounts

  • Report/support for monthly financial statements by preparing schedules and support documentation for the financials as needed

  • Handle sales tax filings and reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual)

  • Assist in audits, prepare and pull information requested by outside auditors

  • Handle ad hoc reporting/project work in support of the overall accounting team

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned as necessitated by business needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or other similar field

  • 5-8 years of accounting experience

  • Experience with online-based platforms such as NetSuite and Google Suite

  • Must have solid GL understanding (debits, credits, reconciliations, financial reporting, etc.)

  • Expert with Excel and custom reporting systems

  • Excellent mathematical and computational skills

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized in work

  • Ability to think critically and offer opinions on process improvements

  • Ability to work independently and meet assigned deadlines

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
