Jr. IT Project Manager

Main Responsibilities:

Project and Service Delivery Management:

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, from initiation to closure.
• Ensure that project goals, objectives, and deliverables align with business needs.
• Manage project timelines, risks, budgets, and resources to meet defined milestones.
• Coordinate between cross-functional teams (e.g., infrastructure, development, support) to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Track, monitor, and report on project progress and delivery performance to senior management and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management:

• Act as the primary point of contact between IT and business stakeholders.
• Define and manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and clients to gather and define business requirements.

Resource and Team Management:

• Lead and manage project delivery teams, ensuring the right skill sets and resources are allocated.
• Manage the workload and assignments of teams, ensuring proper capacity planning.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to team members, ensuring they are equipped to deliver effectively.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
• Implement best practices, processes, and methodologies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct post-project reviews and implement lessons learned to improve future deliveries.

Risk and Issue Management:

• Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
• Escalate significant risks and issues to senior leadership when necessary, and ensure prompt resolution.

Continuous Improvement:

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline project delivery processes.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, productivity, and team performance.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Project Management Expertise:

• Strong experience managing large, complex IT projects using various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Trello).

Leadership & Communication:

• Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on delivery excellence.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Technical Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and service management processes.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, DevOps, and cloud technologies is a plus.

Problem Solving:

• Analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve issues and drive project success.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Agile/Scrum certifications are preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT project management or IT service delivery, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
